This is the Path that awakens your love for others, teaches you how to develop it, causes you to practise it, and brings forth your determination to fully develop it, so that you will never again fall prey to self-cherishing, the cause of all suffering and unhappiness. (STQ-2011-p34)

Through Praying, your Love for others is expressed verbally.
Through Giving, your Love for them is expressed physically.
Through Sitting, your Love for them is expressed mentally.
Through Caring, your Love for them is expressed emotionally.
Through Serving, your Love for them is expressed Spiritually.
Through Practising, your Love for them is fully expressed.
Through Purifying, your hindrances to Love are removed.
Through Renouncing, your selfishness are eradicated together With all afflictive emotions.
Through Harmonising, your ability to love greatly is birthed and equanimity, equalising self and others is practised.
Through Loving Greatly, The Heart of a Kuan Yin Contemplative is won and the Bodhi Mind is awakened. (STQ-2011-p27)

The main purpose of life is to learn how to accumulate merit and wisdom through practising a Good Path. This is what this Path of the Kuan Yin Contemplatives is centering upon the Cultivation of Virtues in order to gain merit and the accumulation of Wisdom through its Ten Cultivations, which calls for the practising of the Eighteen Virtues of the Heart Nature. Be grateful that life has favoured you with the causes and conditions that are helping you to move on in evolution.

Embrace it then, with a joyous gratitude, for the success in its cultivation shall mean that everything you have yearned for - for life, for self-development, for Self-Perfection, is now attainable. (STQ-2011-p28)

The great year has come for you to not only recognising your own faults but to begin correcting your short-comings, so that you may be at one with your own self and be in harmony with all who are around you. (STQ-2011-p35)

It is through Self-Seeing that Self-Knowing is made possible and arising from this, the intention to practise the Self-Correction to bring forth the Good Character that is capable to reach the noble state of mind of a true cultivator. Until the Good Character is brought forth there is no way to progress along this Path of Virtue and Wisdom that speaks of perfecting one’s morality and wisdom. (STQ-2011-p33,36)

(1) “Man at birth is fundamentally good in nature”.
(2) Remember that no one is punished for his “sins” but by them.

Covert not what others have or your mind will be seething with restlessness, selfishness and greediness.
Pray, pray and pray until you are able to turn your back on selfishness.
Give, give and give until you are able to cherish the welfare of others.

1. Observing the heart

Generating the Great Loving Heart which has Great Compassion for living beings is no different from generating the Bodhi Mind, the “Mind of Enlightenment” for it will give rise to the intention to free others from suffering and to establish them to the state of enlightenment. (STQ-2011-p33)

Know that the world is what it is today, so full of dissastisfactoriness, is chiefly because of mankind’s inability to uphold the Precepts of Not Killing, Not Stealing, Not Refraining from Sexual Misconduct, Not Lying and Not Refraining from Intoxicants that cloud the mind.
Know that mankind is what it is today, so full of misery and woe, is chiefly because of its inability to curb its greed on wealth, fame, sex, food and sleep.
Understand then, the need for this period of great karmic resolution that calls for Self-correction if mankind is to return to a better Age of time. (STQ-2011-p30x2)

Apart from the known reasons as to why the Divine Chart of the Path has been transmitted to you, let it be said that its presence shall prevent the changing of its practices and goals and results by those who shall come after you so that different schools of thought will arise to taint this Ancient Path of Ages beyond the memory of man, whose Practice of the Ten Cultivations is always the same, whose Goal of attaining the Great Loving Hearts of a God, a Sage or a Bodhisattva, depending on the motivation and the period of time it surfaces, is always the same, and whose Results of attaining the Ten Endowments of a cultivator is always the same. Know that it is because the Divine Mother would like those who have the good roots to restore their goodness and to bring out their best, and, most of all, to get the most that is possible out of life, that She has brought the Path of Light and Love back to the world, which is currently going through its darkest moments in its history. Hold not the view that all desires are evil, even though they are the causes of restlessness. For without them no one would have any ambition, no one would strive for success, no one would make progress in life.

(1) It is through practising the virtues that the heart is cleansed and the mind is subdued.
(2) Know that each time you are kind towards another you are being kind to your own self.

That which one should strive for in pursuing this Path of the Great Loving Heart is a character that is upright and noble which is described as the good character (STQ-2011-p28x2)

One of the greatest benefits that this Path of the Kuan Yin Contemplatives has to offer is the ability to focus upon the inner motives that lie behind all outward actions.
It is worthwhile and beneficial to contemplate on these lines:

Let it be said that from the moment you vow to seek the Buddha’s Wisdom which is about being Ready to Serve all Buddhas, and to bring forth the Great Loving Heart, the Heart of Bodhi, which is about being Committed to Cultivate all the Virtues for the benefit of all beings, you are already a Kuan Yin Contemplative, a Spiritual Warrior, whose heart is given to all without exception! Be grateful for the year that is before you for what it can teach you; through seeing what is happening to the world, through seeing what the Divine Chart has to reveal and through seeing how you have lived your life ever since you entered the Path of the Great Loving Heart.

Give and be opened to the experiences of the consciousness.
Sit and be led to the higher knowledge.
