LIFE ITSELF IS A MIRACLE

33KuanYin 24

OM MANI PADME HUM

No great experience needs to be expected just because one recites the Buddha’s name. This is the expectation of many and therefore they easily become disheartened and disillusioned so that their practice is often short-lived.

A TRUE PRACTICE

33KuanYin 23

OM SARI HUM

Just as you have shown love and concern towards the welfare of others, they too have responded in kindness. It was very touching, and Kuan Shih Yin was well pleased by the efforts of those who thought of her son.

TRUE GIVING

33KuanYin 22

OM MANI PADME HUM

Wishing happiness on others should be the foremost of practices of all who come into this room. This point must be stressed and carefully explained so as to reduce selfish tendencies. It is easy to ask but very difficult to give.

TEACH ONESELF

33KuanYin 21

OM SARI HUM

How pleasant it is, to be able to practise the spiritual way with a free mind and without any fixed rules. How nice to be able to respond to the world with a pure heart. He who is trying too hard will always get into a tight corner.

OFFER WARMTH OF FRIENDSHIP

33KuanYin 20

OM MANI PADME HUM

Gathering together for the purpose of worship, one learns comradeship and learning how to relate to one another. To be happy in life is to be able to mix with others by giving or receiving help from each other.

LOVE AND COMPASSION

33KuanYin 19

OM MANI PADME HUM

The heart of Buddhist practice is to develop a compassionate mind which in turn will lead to the development of the Enlightenment Mind. How does one become a Buddhist?

THE COMPASSIONATE HEART

33KuanYin 18

OM SARI HUM

The instant response to any call of help reveals the true nature of the person. If an act of help is rendered after some deliberation, it is not a pure act even though it is a good and beneficial one.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE

33KuanYin 17

OM MANI PADME HUM

Settle your mind and do not worry ahead of time. How many are suffering so because of some fears and uncertainty that they have? And they become despondent, grumpy and difficult to live with.

START EACH DAY WELL

33KuanYin 16

OM MANI PADME HUM

Start each day well with morning practice which includes worship and meditation. Starting the day well may lead to living the day well so that by nightfall the mind is calm and it is easy to reflect on the activities of the day.

YOUR PATH!

33KuanYin 15

OM MANI PADME HUM
