He is on the Path to Spiritual Ascent, a path which few are ready to walk. Not many people are able to realise the joys of giving and so truly understands the meaning of “it is more blessed to give than to receive".

The generous person has no enemy and he suffers no loss. Being a friend to all, he harbours no grudge or ill-will towards living creatures. He develops morality and patience with ease. The day will come when he needs the least of effort to practise self-restraint and then the precepts are kept quite naturally. With a life dedicate to bringing happiness to others he is, in actuality, all the time purifying his mind continuum. Only actions which are good and righteous can produce joy to others. Only those who have developed this attitude can work towards relieving the suffering of others and, in return, he is not easily or grossly affected by the problems of life. He has learned detachment, he lives in accord with life!
