OM MANI PADME HUM
Do you need messages in order to understand how to lead and live your life? Do you understand each message that has been written? Do you accept them to be the truth just because these words are available to you? Do you understand the purpose of reading materials and why you need to have them? All these questions you must go over your mind each time you sit in contemplation.
You are not able to meditate yet because there are too many thoughts that flow in and out of your mind each time you sit to still your body with the objective of stilling your mind as well. But because you begin with a mind which is clouded with irrelevant and unnecessary thoughts, your mind is like murky waters and so you are not able to find the pearl that is within this muddy water. This water of filth is your mind which is full of wants, greed, lust and hatred because all the thoughts that pass through the mind are related to such desires and so the good and righteous thoughts are all covered up with these negative thoughts. And you are in a state of suffering due to unfulfillment.
But you must find the pearl that is within these waters for the very pearl is your true nature which is the Buddha nature. You must find it with patience and with determination. You can only do so by not adding in more undesirable thoughts but by adding in pure thoughts; thoughts of love and compassion, of understanding and of friendship which will reduce the negativities that are present. With patient efforts, your mind will be clearer and you will find a mind which is more within your capability to control for you are arriving at a calmer mind. And calm waters will not disturb the sediments which are no longer active and cloudy the waters by the current of thoughts. At such a state, should you pursue on you will find your pearl, your true nature, your Buddha nature.
What is the use of knowing that you must find your own nature which is the greatest treasure hunt of your entire life? Knowing is good for it gives you the impetus of the seeking but to seek is to work for it and to work for it you have to make great efforts. You cannot achieve real success in life by being idle and wishing for it, you have to go for it and you have to face all kinds of difficulties before you can attain it.
And that is why you will need to have a strong mind, a clear mind and a calm mind to give you the ability to see life and know life so that you can work your life with wisdom which only arise with a cultivated mind. That is why you should not waste any single day with only day dreaming, you have to experience life by living it. And so these messages that Niang gives to you are not only to be read but also to be reflected upon and tested in your daily lives. You must not just accept them, you must not only agree but you must put them to the test to verify them, and then you will arrive at true understanding and only then will messages and writings of books can be of any real benefit to you. You have this chance of a human life, you have known of many Paths, you have better practise one!
