OM MANI PADME HUM
The Defiled Mind, its Causes and Consequences
This is the nature of the mind. This is the way that all beings will react. This is the way of behaviour of all those who have not sought for the Ultimate Truth, those who do not walk the Path, those who live in the realms of desires which are tainted by Anger, Lust and Stupidity. They shall have no consistency in life, they shall know no true joys in life, they shall be filled with sufferings which will cause them to increase their passions of life, they shall not enjoy lasting joys even in the midst of happiness, they shall be filled with worries because the future is so unsure for them; they shall find dissatisfactions in all aspects of life, they shall miss the bliss of purity of the mind, the joys of the charitable heart, the contentment of life which can only be found in wisdom.
Tread The Noble Path - The Journey to Spiritual Victory to End Sufferings
You who are on the Path too shall go through much sufferings because the journey to spirituality shall not be easy to tread. There shall be much unpleasantness and sacrifice because to leave behind earthly attachments shall be difficult and this shall cause much pains to the cultivator so that he must be fully tested, so that abandonment shall not be a cause for any regret, so that sufferings shall be experienced and be the teacher of the ego that is within man, so that realisation of the joys of the higher realms will be the object of the search, so that the craving for existence in Samsara shall be destroyed forever. It shall be trying for all who aspire to walk the noble path and many shall not survive the journey in a life time or even a thousand. It shall be a path where only the truly devoted ones will be victorious and there shall be moments of joy and suffering which will cause one’s mind to waver, for the feeling of hopelessness and uncertainty will be there to confront the cultivator..
Make and fulfill Noble Vows to uproot all Defilements as the Aims of Life
This is the nature of the mind. To prevent one to rid oneself of the defilements which the mind has accumulated over past lives. To prevent the desire to seek the true self be strong, all kinds of temptations shall face him who seeks to purify his mind, in all manners and in all forms. None shall be exempted from this mental torture when the process of cleansing the mind is applied. So there is need to make noble vows and there is need for him who makes these vows to fulfill them by using them as the aims in life, in the struggle to cleanse the defiled mind, to make it to the other shore.
The Way to My Realm (Pure Land) - is to persevere with sincere Practice to Purify oneself, to gain more Wisdom and be moved by Compassion to Love all and to Help and Save countless sentient beings.
Knowing the futility of Samsaric existence will be the cause for one to persevere. Seeking to purify oneself for the sake of attaining a new Self which will enable him to play a part to cleanse the minds of others shall be a great impetus to move one along. Knowing the cause of My existence in the realms of suffering shall provide the energy for you to carry on. Those who desire to give help to the countless suffering ones are very few in number, but each one who makes it to Bodhisattvahood shall cause a million beings to benefit by his success. Therefore, look not behind. Move forward and be moved by compassion to save the countless beings who need to be saved. Create thoughts of love and mercy within your own mind each day so that the mind shall not be wavered by worldly passions. Understand that each day cannot be the same and so the conditions of life must not be expected to remain as you wish them to be. Take each day as an opportunity to gain more wisdom by sincere practice. Love not only thy neighbours but all sentient beings as you love your own self. This is the way to My Realm!
