EMPOWERING DEITIES

33KuanYin 12

OM SARI HUM

Empowering Deities come to the life of a person who cultivates. When the practice is virtuous, good ones arise to lead him into the path of virtue and he will have much to do for others.

When the practice is towards the non-virtuous, evil ones quickly appear to draw his mind and he is then bent towards the path of evil, causing great harm to himself and to others.

It is best not to wish to attract such Deities and even when they come, it is up to one to accept them. It is easy to distinguish the good from the evil ones. What kind of motivation did you have? What kind of practice needs you to practise, and what kind of discipline is required of you? If there is need to harm even a single being, drop the practice. If your Deity urges you to take the path of righteousness, to benefit and to protect others even at the risk of harming yourself, then you are influenced by a good Deity.

Deities are numberless. They come to you at appropriate times; they will reveal themselves to you at the right moment. If they come because you have lived a good life, free from harming others, they are the good ones and they will help and protect you. It is better when they come into your life when you have the least idea about them, when there has been no practice to attract them. They are powerful beings who could be highly evolved spirits or even manifested aspect of enlightened beings. Depending on your attainment, on your culture, they will come to your life to be recognised and accepted by you to give you help!
