Each being is suffering in a different manner, with different sets of worries and encountering all kind of pains. The entire world is in a big mess and this is due to the creation of negative energies by the actions of the terrible beings who occupy the planet. This is but the start of a vicious period of time. You have been told of this years ago. You have spoken about it but have you fully prepared yourself to face the difficult years ahead? To have prepared yourself is to have attain understanding and not to be greatly distressed yourself, for surely you cannot be happy to see sufferings everywhere and surely you will be affected in one way or another. For those who are caught in a surprise, it is difficult to accept the terrible blows, but those who have anticipated this to come about, should have the necessary strength to overcome this period of woes. If you have heeded the warning, then you must be ready to patiently wait for positive energies to take root and to rout the present evil energies that are causing all kinds of destruction around the world and grief to the hearts of mankind.
This means that you must be strong enough to fully understand the workings of karma, to be unmoved or shaken easily. You have to be a pillar of strength to help others through these turbulent months or years! This is a period of practice which will be a real lesson on reality and then on emptiness; this is also a period of active work, of perseverance and learning of faith. Those who are weak shall fall but those who have the grit to survive will learn much at the end of it. Those who are affected will need help and those who are unaffected should be the helpers. This is therefore, a period of the arising of the compassionate mind that leads to brotherhood. It is therefore a horrible period of time for many but also a period of learning to be noble and kindly towards others. In this period of time all kinds of beings will surface. Evil ones will take rebirth in hordes and they will create dissuasion and despair, but under such circumstances great ones too will arise, and they will practice the great Bodhisattva Spirit! It is a terrible period of time to live in for those who are lacking in wisdom and therefore the state of gloom will be felt!
With reality before you, it should be easy to understand the Dharma and embrace it. There is no place for petty desires which even when fulfilled will not lead to lasting happiness. Those who have some foundations in religious knowledge should practise more seriously for they shall be the benefactors to many in the future. The reality of sufferings are no longer book knowledge and so should the truth of impermanency dawn before them. Disciples who are wavering should therefore be awakened to this truth so that they will not live in dreams!
Wake up! Work and save yourself and others! It is the time to practise virtues so as to help to generate wholesome energies so as to even out the negative ones. This is the time for unselfish prayers, and there must be more and more prayers uttered from the lips of mankind. It must happen now and not when it is too late. Whole heartedly say your prayers of love each day, each hour, each minute, each moment! Bring to their attention the need for a concentrated mind for the prayers to be powerful. Even though it is difficult to expect the wonders of world peace, still, it is the duty of each being to do his bit, to add on a ‘thought of peace’ so that the energies created will be powerful enough to divert a great disaster. Even when others do not do their bit, it is your duty to single-handedly do yours with every ounce of your energy. This is the practice of the Buddha, to be tirelessly working towards the happiness of all mankind, no matter how long it takes, even if there were no one else interested in assisting them!
Pray then, with all seriousness and in full sincerity each time you are seated in worship. Enter into the deep visualisation and know the minds of the Great Compassionate Ones. Be one with the Divine and let your heart be the vehicle through which love and compassion will be released to the beings whom you are praying for. It is the time to work relentlessly for the sake of others so that laziness must be cast aside. Many life times of requests for the opportunity to work for the benefit of others may mature in this period of time - if one is serious on practice, if one knows how to grasp at the opportunity of a cycle of lifetime. Therefore, learn to rise above pettiness and emerge as a true son or daughter of Kuan Shih Yin Bodhisattva!
