Those who choose to live in a state of unawareness will not be able to benefit out of life’s experiences which come to one in many facets; they are living in delusions and tend to live in a state of dream, not knowing how to face and live life beneficially and fruitfully.

The path that one takes is very important really. Entering into a wrong path may lead one to senseless wanderings before arriving at the path of knowledge and liberation, and if one does not have the good fortune to meet up with a benefactor, one may even fall into the traps of life and thereby lose the valuable opportunity to wake up! Be a benefactor to other, at all times, and feel concerned that so many are heading for the wrong directions without knowing the consequences, - just like the animals which are heading towards the slaughter homes without the least of knowledge. This is the state of being that the greater part of humanity is in. They need to wake up or they will end up in greater sufferings. No matter what you can do, do something to give help. But do not force others to accept your views or your path, they need counselling and guidance and so wisdom is needed that will give you the skill to use appropriate means to show them the way. Right living and proper conduct is of utmost importance along with right motivation to help.

There is a need to practise patience and there is a need to practise purification of body, speech and mind so that a shining example is needed of a benefactor. It will take much time and knowledge to be really a beneficial person to others. No matter what level you may be in, do your bit and give help whenever an opportunity arises. There is no need to feel inadequate or one will never learn to face life’s situations with confidence. When you can help, do your best, when you cannot and you know of others who can, then lead the troubled ones to them. That is why it is so important to have spiritual friends who are far ahead of you. Be grateful each time you meet up with one who can teach and guide you because they will be the ones who can help those whom you are unable to do so. Direct them to such great persons who have worked hard to be what they are and never entertain any envious thoughts toward them. The more wise beings you come across, the more chances you will have to learn and to help others. Life is always rich when one lives for the sake of helping others. It will be richer when one is able to see the sufferings of others, the faults of others, and then do the best to get them out of their problems, willingly and purposely. Knowing this, one will welcome all aspects of life be they happy or sad, beneficially or otherwise.

Seeing from the surface, one is faced with discrimination and will not see the truth. But do contemplate deeply towards all life’s experiences and soon it will be easy enough to see the wondrous nature of all daily experiences!
