Quote of the day - Nov 7th

How many will come with heavy hearts and learn to lighten themselves in the end? What is the secret? How can it be done? It is so simple: drop the burden of illusion and accept not the pains that are unreal. Today there is deep frustration; tomorrow happiness! Knowing this, why harbour thoughts of grief? How long can one grieve? Why grieve and remain deluded?
Let go. Free your mind from the attachments that come in all forms, leading to desires and false views. Only the foolish long for happiness; the wise work towards attaining it! Attain it, then, and let no other person be the cause of your desire, sorrow, anger, or disappointment. They too live in ignorance, have faults, and must experience the fruition of their past karmas. They cannot be hated, for they too hold false views. You should not hold such views and feelings if you are on the Path of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Let there be no illusive thoughts. Neither should there be anger or aversion. Instead, always keep the mind calm and free of thoughts that distract and weaken concentration.
