When you have seen and experienced or even heard of happy ones, your spiritual strength will be uplifted. When you become one who is involved in bringing about a happy spiritual development to others, you must be grateful for the good fortune of having such a rebirth which will benefit others and your own self in the future!

To act as a spiritual link for others is not an easy task. One who has been selected to perform this duty has to go through difficult trainings in many a lifetime. The Deity whom one is serving has great affinity with him so that in life after life, one may become his disciple and serve Him in various ways. Serving and learning, purifying oneself and accumulating vast merits, the disciple will be upgraded in life after life, provided temptations of successes will not sway his mind. The disciple must be strong in spirit and brave enough to face all eventualities, putting full faith in his guru!

Guru-disciple relationship must be taken very seriously. It is the duty of the guru to protect, to do his best to cause the best conditions for his disciples to cultivate, to love and care for his well being at all times! The disciple in turn puts full trust in the words of his teacher and will not doubt them at all! The spiritual guru is far beyond a normal guru and this is because of past links in various lifetimes. Just be content that you have a guru who will always care for your spiritual development and will watch over you. In order to play the part of the true disciple, you must be ready to learn, to put great effort in your practice without much urging, and be ready to offer any assistance when called for.

The memory of last night experience must give you sufficient food for the thought. When you are ready, the guru will be there, will show you things, will teach you without having to use many words. Many strange things are no more mysterious to you once your master shows the way to understand them. But you must learn to speak less and not carelessly reveal your experiences to one and all. See how little your master speak and how unattached to successes which lesser ones will tend to boast. The quality of a guru is just like that!

All the kind advice given to you must be ever fresh in your mind. Spiritual matters are not easily understood by worldly people. Spiritual success can bring grave damage to the good practices if one is not able to contain himself and know the pitfalls of such a success. Therefore be humble, be ready to learn, exert effort, be patient and be ever watchful of your own weaknesses. This is a year to learn and you have already seen much in this short period of time. There will be much before you and how you lead your life and practise will lead you to more and more sights to behold and to learn from. Success can come from yourself only!
