EDUCATION ASSISTANCE AND MENTORING
This Educational Assistance and Mentoring programme began in 2013 as a pilot project to provide free tuition to a selected group of children from urban poor families and single parents.

This is the KYCO Youth Team of 2013 that pioneered the pilot Free Tuition Project under the Educational Assistance Programme.

Visit the students of "Educational Assistance Project" and their families
Date: 2nd March 2014, Sunday
Location: Tadika Wawasan, Setapak
Program:
8.15am - Meet & Depart from KYCO for Setapak Garden, KL.
9.20am - Welcoming & handout of children's reports by their tutors. Youths (Mentors to children will spend time assessing & helping the children.)
9.40am - Members of KYCO, supporters will visit 2 of the children's family homes.
11.15am - Report by Youth on progress of the children.
11.50am - Distribution of food & provisions & lunch boxes.
12.00pm - Depart for home/KYCO

Project Summary for the 1st Sep 2013's Activities
Thanks to everyone, everything has gone well.
• The children are open to us and all of them display interests and willingness in learning.
• The parents are very cooperative and are not shy in sharing their life details.
• The head mistress, Ms. Yap is very enthusiastic in helping the children. Furthermore, she also offers insights to our members regarding information in relation to our project.
• Last but not least our members were superb. We were all amazing in talking to the kids as well as putting the effort in getting as much information as possible from them.
